I never implied or claimed anything of the sort Pabst. I was just pointing out how simplistically absurd this poster's "logic" is. Time for some College Football. 'SC all over Virginia early (21-0). Cal vs Michigan State later this afternoon, 5PM PST. Superb weather here . . . Have a great Weekend everyone!
What McBush is thinking.... <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=2047234> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Xc5ObA_k2dc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Xc5ObA_k2dc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
The Dems are freaking out. At Huffington Post, I just counted Palin's name mentioned 33 times just on the home page. That has got to be a record. The only thing that could have pissed the Dems off more would have been to announce the selection during (or right after) Obama's speech.
problem is.... thats just how the media is already playing it. I've been eyeballing the national news channels.... already several female pundits are coming on and saying that this pick is an insult to women.... and they're beginning to loop it. it has begun. i knew this was exactly how it would play out. meawhile.... a ton of others are questioning her credentials while others keep on saying the new buzz words "this is high high risk" ofcourse McCain supporters are not getting the same air time..... naturally. Its how the game goes. McCain is toast
Think Bush nominating Harriet Myers for Supreme Court Justice, and remember how the repubs tried to spin that positively.... Same story, but now they may be stuck with this one. I doubt Palin will drop out...but who knows, that manly husband of hers might knock her up again. Wouldn't that make it interesting, a pregnant VP prospect...
Landis82, You and I have had trading-related differences of opinion, but I think your political observations in this thread are generally right on the money.
Don't worry about that stuff. Compare the media treatment of Obama vs. HC during the primary season. Did it help him? Perhaps but EOD he barely out polled her despite being the media's chosen Messiah from day one. McCain focus tested his vp options and made the pick for those reasons. It'll be a net help. Is it enough? We'll know in November irregardless of what huffingtonwhore, dailykrap and Keith Overweight say today.
Honey will you fetch my snow shoes and gun heat me up a nice fat mooseburger with seal blubbber and grab me a warm brewsky before the Idiorad begins? Wow you sure look presidential in that red white & blue fur bikini!
You may be a Republican but you are not a Conservative. Not if you would put John McCain in the conservation camp. Why did he go sharply right with the VP pick....because McCain did not have the Conservative support he needs to win. From the conservitive point of view McCain is a closer to a democrat
There is no way to spin this lady as a good leader for our country and if McCain wins there is a very real chance this woman could be our president. And there is no way to spin this to make McCain look like he made a good decision. This was a stupid and possibly dangerous decision on his part, hopefully if he wins he will be more prudent in the future. You can still pick voting for McCain over Obama, that is a different issue, but if your honest you'll admit what I wrote is right.
