"weight and volume" From the body or from the brain? Maybe take the body if not we risk that the list might be very short. We should exclude "balls" as female traders should be admitted in the competition too. I was thinking that they could use "breasts" instead of "balls", but then they would have a huge advantage (at least some female traders ) in volume over men. So let's skip "balls" and "breasts". It is not easy to keep the competition honest and to give everybody the same chances.
Actually he gave examples in his opening first post. Based upon that and prior threads...he's clearly talking about #2. 1) He's talking about traders that have had a big documented trading day or big documented profitable trade...posted brokerage statement real-time call and/or brokerage statement. 2) Yes, he is a newbie that's asking these types of questions 3) I've given him enough explanations before in prior threads and again in this thread...ET members in current market conditions are NOT making similar like big numbers as ET members of the past because market conditions in the past were suitable for such. 4) The value is for him only and it seems like he doesn't understand that different market conditions impacts profit levels considering these threads seem to have the same like theme. ...no value for us which is why he's asking. 5) Yes, this helps Baron via attracting sponsors because this forum is a business.
was curious and checked out collective2. Buyer beaware. One of the top option strategies there seem to be shorting naked vix calls and they call it income fund.. haha.
I agree. Some newbie's need the psychological edge that comes from knowing that serious money can be made in this business. ------------------------ "Trading is about discipline...., patience..., repetitiveness..., with no opinion..., and one's ego set aside." -Redneck
I am a newbie around here and I dont trade. so not even a newbie trader. a pre-newbie trader. hahaha. and this entire ET is booooring. none of the threads are worth reading. this place is dead zone. People say nothing. where are people who can say something. if anyone wants to know how to trade. Why not read some books on trading. There are some good ones out there. I guess I got here years too late. do you know of any threads that have discussion of trading that would be useful to read. and I agree people around here argue and fight with each other. It is terrible. People have to show others respect. I keep getting the weekly email of the best threads of the week. and I go over them all and never find anything worth reading. that is a terrible situation. now reading this thread I am waking up to how bad it is around here. I dont have time to waste. I have to learn how to trade. and a good book is better than this place. It should be the other way around. no one is willing to share. Everyone wants to take and get but not give. even those who I believe know a little do not share. they beat around the bush at best. but I have not read all the old threads. so I am going to ask you. What are some good old threads worth reading. please post url or exact title so I can google it and arrive at the correct thread. I dont trade. I dont know how to trade. I dont make a good person to tell anyone how to trade. hahaha. anyone who listens to me is in deep trouble. hahaha. Here is a $5.5 million dollar options trade put on Wednesday and already big time in profits. Read all about it. you can thank me for this one. I was tempted to say I Put on the trade. but you guys are too sharp for me to get away with that. hahaha. but it is the best sharing in this thread. it is all about a real trade. a big real trade. put on by someone who must have the balls to put it on. I am impressed. but the sharing on ET I am not impressed. http://www.bottarelliresearch.com/trades/2016/01/20/5-million-monster-butterfly-called-bottom I hope to come back to lists of great threads for me to read from old ET. Thanks Guys
You aren't going to learn how to trade on ET. Actually, if anything you will only learn bad habits and failing methods. Your above comments however are your savior. Most on ET are in the other camp. They trade, but don't know how to trade. The sad thing is they believe they do and worse provide bad advice spewing mis-information. (Some speak with such authority and an air of confidence, but in actuality it is mostly just hot air). Caveat Emperor... Albeit there are a few phenomenal successful traders, but those those aren't the one's with thousands of posts, searching for internet validation, likes, "followers" and the occasional Minion or two. The days are gone of mental stimulation and quality content. Best advice one could give you, Stay Away, stay far away until you become successful. Then come back to the Circus and enjoy the show... But expecting to glean knowledge on how to trade successfully? That is a pipe dream. No one is going to share their edge and those without an edge share prolifically.
...Generally, it's safe to assume that 95%+ of traders, specially on online forums, are not profitable and/or full of stuff. If you want to learn as a "newbie", your best bet is to venture and explore and adventure on your own. From a clean neutral slate. As for your third point, you're right...if anyone is truly profitable/successful...of course, they won't blabber about their strategy. -- at least not in great, specific detail.
You are qualified to stay on ET, you reach the same level as the one you assign to others on ET. Just reread the three postings above carefully. Everything is bullshit, but then you ask which threads are good, after that stating you even didn't read all the threads. Before you judge you should at least read all the material you qualify as bullshit. If not you are bullshit. I hope you do realize that these people ask you to join them? Ever asked why they want you to join? If they make millions they don't need you, except if they want to make these millions from your money. This is on their website: If you had $2,000 at the beginning and you invested everything on each of the 33 trades we recommended… You’d have $3,642,760. Yes, you read that right. That’s $3.6 million. So my advice: Don't stay at ET to waste your time, join these wizards, and come back in a few days when you will be a millionaire!!! You can even become rich , trading without knowing anything about trading. In fact you have the perfect profile to join this club. They want people like you!!! And when you come back as a very rich man you can become the only poster on ET with real valuable information.
Nobody knows. Don't forget that this is still the internet! ANYONE can claim to be a millionnaire daytrader. It could be that absolutely nobody on this site is making consistent money, so nobody is qualified to assist you. And even if they could, nobody would ever share any information (be it in private or in public) which could actually help someone make money. ET is for very general chit-chat and talking about brokers, data feeds etc.
