  1. NBC Cuts Ties With Donald Trump Over Derogatory Immigrant Comments

NBC has cut ties with business mogul Donald Trump, whose show "The Apprentice" has aired on the network since 2004, over Trump's recent derogatory statements about immigrants.

According to a statement, the network is "ending its business relationship" with Trump, noting the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants and "The Apprentice" will no longer air on NBC.

Univision announced Thursday it would not air the Miss USA pageant because of Trump's remarks. Trump fired back, claiming he planned to sue the network for "hundreds of millions of dollars" if it fails to show the pageant on July 12.

Even after the backlash, Trump doubled down on his comments, claiming he was "exposing the truth" and arguing Mexico has "totally taken advantage of the United States."

  2. Love him or hate him, he knows how to play the media and stay in front of the camera. This is just more red meat for his base, which is growing larger by the day. I'm betting the rest of the repub crowd is starting to soil their panties.

  3. Am I the only one who sees an enormous threat to free speech if a presidential candidate can have his business ruined by a broadcaster with a government license supposedly over remarks made during the campaign?

We knew NBC was almost comically biased, but mixing the business and political sides like this seems unprecedented. I will support Trump if only to get to see his revenge on them if he gets elected.

  5. I agree with the basic premise of your post, but I'm not entirely sure that this particular incident isn't just about having to give equal time to other candidates.
Now NBC has been quoted saying the following: "At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values," NBC said in a statement.
That does seem odd if it is a equal time argument, which I don't know if they even made that argument. If this is in fact a breaking of the relationship purely on a disagreement with what he said, then while probably on solid legal ground, it is a large step in the wrong direction towards the media silencing those that are running in opposition to their chosen favorites. So much for unbiased reporting, but then again, that went out the window many moons ago. This is just the next step during progression of tyranny.

  7. I saw John Kasich on Fox last night. He used to be a representative and is now governor of Ohio. He is a typical nominal conservative, desperate to be liked, grinning and giggling like a buffoon during his interview with Megan. Other than his own family members, there are probably not 25 people in the country who want him as president or even see it as a remote possibility. Still, there he is. His actual goal is the VP slot, and being governor of Ohio gives him a massive leg up on that, since carrying Ohio is crucial. In 2012 neither of the republican candidates even managed to carry their home states, which shows just how lame they were.

  8. The more I listen to guys like Kasich, the more I like Trump. Trump doesn't want to make you like him. He really could give a crap. He is Donald Freakin Trump and you are nobody. He owns the most famous condo building in NYC and some of the world's best golf courses. What does he need you for?

He's not on any lame listening tour. He doesn't need you to tell him how fucked up things are. He has to deal with it every day in business.

If the president of Mexico wants to pick a fight with him, game on, mf. The only way he'll get on Doral is if he disguises himself as a caddy.

I predict Trumop will say outrageous stuff during the debates and get a huge reaction from the republican base, which is beyond fed up with loser republican establishment weenies.

it seems not only does trump have F U money... he has 60 percent of the country ready to say F U to the establishment.

Perhaps those with money need to start donating to him now. He could turn a motivated base of F Y voters into a very big election win.

While I reserve the right to vote for someone else...
I am with you on this AAA.

Its time to Trump the establishment. TM
    Trump the establishment. TM

(TM willing to license to Donald for free... or a for a place in the campaign.)

  10. If you want to know if someone is an asshole, just ask them if they like Trump. If they do, you are talking to an asshole.
