As we should with every illegal we find, since we're going to let them stay? (And allow the young ones to attend schools with our own young ones who may not have been exposed to these once removed illnesses from our country). Or should they get special treatment, you know, like they do by getting to stay after coming illegally? /sarc
My point is we can't check many of illegals regarding vaccinations, especially since we don't know who or where many of them are. And regarding those who want illegal immigration, I really don't think it matters. I apply that to both parties. It will only matter if their kids get sick.
And my point was that there are a great many people entering this country every day who are not citizens of the US. Even if one assumes that measles were brought into this country from outside, one cannot assume that it was an illegal alien who brought it. Of course, we could bar anyone who isn't a citizen of the US from entering the country.
Or just those without visas, and those entering illegally. The border patrol agents who have contracted or been exposed to a variety of diseases all but eradicated from this country would like that idea.
a bunch of strawman baloney. no one is saying don't allow people in... we are saying that we should uphold our laws, have a controlled border and allow people in who obtain the appropriate visas and show proof of vaccination. the current policy of encouraging illegal aliens in without checking on their current health or health records is dangerous and sickening. Lets just start acting like and intelligent first world country. I tell you what... that is a the pitch the next president of this country will be using.
Wouldn't matter. Just because someone has a visa doesn't mean that he isn't infected with something. You're all assuming that this whole measles problem is because of an illegal alien, even though you have no evidence whatsoever to support such an assumption. Illegal aliens are no more likely to be responsible for measles outbreaks than they are for peanut allergies.
Not straw man baloney at all. You're saying that everyone who wants to enter the country should have to show proof of vaccination. Every person on every flight entering the country. Which is what I said. And if that sounds stupid, that's because it is..
I assume nothing. I see an increase in once eradicated diseases that coincides with an increase in illegals, especially young illegals entering the country, some being verified as carriers by border patrol. You can check vaccine records of everyone on every flight, but not everyone coming in across the border, unless you know something no one else does. I never said I was talking about just measles. In fact, I don't think I singled out any single disease.
