Who is going SHORT or LONG into the election tomorrow?

  1. Anybody building up any position trade bets going into tomorrow?

The only thing I have been doing so far is building up a Rydex 200% Inverse S&P500 position again. I would like to see the ES higher but I will keep gradually building this position hoping we can get to ES 1000 or above before a break down.

  2. I don't play news.

  3. Got it.....technically the S&P is not looking all that strong right here so that is more of what I am paying attention to.....news is just THERE and I can't avoid it as the election hits tomorrow.

Also, I thought maybe all the obama supporters would chime in saying they are all LONG 100%.....because the world will be so much better after tomorrow......BBBUUUUWWWWAAAAAAHHHHAAAAAAHHHHAAAAAA!!!!!! :D :D :D

I guess they bet with their mouths and not with their hands (click, click, click on the old trading platform)......LOL!!!!! :D :D :D

The only surprise I can see is a deadlocked election - and that appears unlikely. For better or worse, it looks like everyone is expecting an OB victory.

I would guess an Obama rally. Sell the rumour, buy the news. Wednesday.

  7. I dont carve turns like you do but it seems like we are starting to lose momentum to the upside. I am currently looking for a position trade short if we take out 950 for a possible test of the lows. If the election results are looked on unfavorably......we could get more volatility in a few days than we have seen last month. A COMPLETE WASHOUT. Maybe im just wishing again.

Is this a longterm play you are looking at...i know you liked the 1050 area but that seems unrealistic before the election but we could get there if the election results are favorable.

Hope you kill it as usual.

  8. Thanks TB - market stalled right below the area I wanted to get in...oh well, let the fun begin!!! :)

The Paulson viagra market pump seems to be wearing off.......OOOOHHHHH!!!!!

  9. The market is in retardando mode.

As for the election i think neither will start a rally.
