  4. Congrats Don for your 10k's and for your reputation!

I think that all the others brokers representants here must be so jalous to see such great claims about you !

  6. Man, this is cracking my wife and I up...LOL. I do remember most of those lifesaving expoits of mine, but barely, LOL.

Having my 60th birthday coming up on Valentines day 2010 (born at 2:14 AM on 2/14 1950...boy, am I special), I hope that some of you will grace me with your presence... (and presents, LOL)..... Save the dates between Feg 10-20, seriously.

As far as my friend, Mr. Zhidvodka and his conercns about the "POS Redi" - I have to agree, when Spear Leads was selling off to Goldman, they let Redi fall into dis-repair... but the money spent over the last 7 years has done wonders for the platform... "Redi is not your grandfather's platform any longer" (yes, one more LOL).

My wife wants to say something, seriously, but I talked her out of it...never know when my girlfriends might be reading ET.....

Anyway, thanks for 10,000....we'll look for 20,000.... remember the birthday...you might enjoy joining me in Vegas.

Bob and I will enjoy this thread, thanks to everyone...

    Don

Although I do have to concede this point, because they always have been a little behind on the technology... I sort of suspect you're fibbing just a little because if my memory serves me correctly, in 1997 and 1998 they were still on DOS based DOT terminals (and yes, 17" CRT's).... I don't think they switched to REDI until Goldman bought First Options of Chicago around late 1999 or 2000 or something like that.

And if you were placing INCA orders via DOT... well then you probably got what you deserved anyways.

But that still doesn't change the fact that back in their hayday... they had a lot of former floor guys trading with them... lots of specialists and assistant specialists from the old Pacific Exchange.... and those guys could trade. And who knows, they still may have them.

  9. Hey, Don. Would you hire me? I'm loyal, easily trainable, honest to a fault. I take instruction well and come from good stock.

My god, I'm a cocker spaniel.

    Never mind.

  10. he smiles, we think of santa claus
    with sacks of digi-loot,
some ET clowns from sour grapes
    fling words of disrepute.

for sure he's saved three thousand lives
    from Nam to Timbuktu,
may all accounts prevail to thrive
    that follow in his shoes.

dare to ask, who is Don Bright,
    but what of brother Bob?
    Both are legends, market gods...

so let's see another 10,000 posts, wooooooo doggieeeeeee!!
