Oh I'm not trying to say anything bad about the military. My brother's in the Air Force, not for a job, but bc he went to the academy. My friend, however, is a powerpoint range in the chair force. You should see the daily emails I get from him: how to fail a test with dignity, people of walmart, fail blogs, etc...
A friends son just left the Army and came home last week. The military offered him $100,000 to reenlist. He was a specialist in some new communication platform. The contractors who were working with him were making $500/hr +. He is going to get his degree in electrical engineering fully paid, and will probably be able to do contracting while in school on the system he worked with in the military as it will be coming out for Fire and Police here pretty soon. My buddy laughs, as his son wasn't a druggie or anything when he went in, but had zero ambition for anything, and now can't wait to do everything.
