Certainly not. Calling someone a "dumwipe" would be name calling. In this case, the person is expressing un-American, anti-American, Liberal Progressive views. ---and expresses these views on every subject. Thus, I am stating facts.
Notice he did not defend the claim that was made, the war in Iraq was based on false claims of yellow cake and links of Al Queda to Iraq. Wasted efforts rather than concentrate on Afghanistan and Saudia Arabia. How is it un American to express a view even Colin Powell acknowledged...Iraq was a mistake.
Our entire Iraq adventure was and continues to be a giant shitshow. We deposed a strong leader who acted as a counter weight to our common enemy, Iran. We then got rid of the entire Army and set loose decades of violence and death. Instead of Saddam Hussein, the sworn enemy of Tehran, we turned it into a colony of Iran. We ignored the violent and deadly persecution of Christians and entire Christian communities by proxies of our pals, the Saudis. Say what you will about him, he was a man's man and a fucking animal.
The particular crime that got Saddam into trouble was flooding the world market with oil, bringing prices down to about $10 per barrel. OPEC and those who had interests in the oil industry such as Dick Cheney and Halliburton, were not happy. Even Bush, Jr. an interest in a producing oil company at one point. This led to the 1st war against Iraq where Saddam was given a off the record ok to invade Kuwait as a later pretext for war against him. One should ask themselves why the US was originally supporting Iraq in their war against Iran and reversed their position? What changed? It was oil prices. Seems to me, a lot of oil producers have been whining about “low priced” $50 oil right now and are looking for a way to prop it up. A war with Iran would do just that.
At least one thing is clear in all of this.. Saudi Arabia is militarily weak. Everyone can see that now. They are also incredibly vulnerable to infrastructure attacks. It could be argued that the attack was inevitable. When you tell an oil producing country that they cannot export oil that is considered an act of war. Japan attacked the United States in WWII only after Japan's access to oil from the Dutch East Indies was cutoff. We acted surprised that time too. Saudi Arabia is an unsustainable country. We should be coldly realistic about what is going to happen. They uncorked a war on their own peninsula that they cannot control and Iran can supply their proxies there without direct warfare.
Going into Iraq was a mistake but it was no Bush lie. This is where you are un-American and anti-American. You find anything you can to try and down the US.
True.We wouldnt be having problems with Iran building nukes and ISIS if republican president Bush wouldn't have overthrown Saddam.Hundreds of thousands of lives would have been saved too.
The biggest mistake of course was leaving Iraq once we got in there. Obama made the deaths of thousands of US military meaningless.
