Who controls the FED?

  1. The sad thing is people still won't care.. at least 80% of the people you come in contact in life want to be led. The average US citizen is an egotistical idiot. We lack most of the basic survival skills, if we went into a depression most of us wouldn't know how to even grow fruits and veggies. We can BARELY fill out a damn mortgage application. Handing someone a basic digital camera is like handing them a fucking nuclear bomb, we can't even fucking understand that there's no reason in hell to be making 35k/yr and finance a 50k car, and we care more about Paris Hilton than we do about about our children's education.. All the sports and TV and movies are all distractions. All these distractions keep us in debt to the Money Masters.

What's wrong with our country is my generation. People about 12-30 years of age, which, from here on out I will refer to as Generation Myspace. If we spent 1/10th of the time we spend on myspace on some sort of specific education, we'd all be geniuses. We have collectively retraced our national moral intelligence. We have made the entire human race take a step back. It's sad.

I put up a bulletin entitled "Real Education" and I put links to the money masters, mystery of banking, and other viable sources of real education and I received not one, but two messages that said something along the lines of.

"eh pa, u fine n all but dat shyt u putin in da bulitin bout politiks iz borin u ackualy accept meh to reed dat shyt?"

Seldom have I ever been speechless but I couldn't think of anything dumb enough to say to these two girls that they would understand. I immediately deleted my myspace account. I will cash in on a Facebook IPO though. :D

I don't know what to say anymore other than protect you and your loved ones.

There's a reason people are broke and stay that way. Someone has to dry clean your clothes, some one has to come to your house and fix your cable, someone.. has to do it....

  3. I too am cynical, it's just that I see no difference whether or not the Fed system is in place or if we go to the gold standard. Cuz if you believe that Govt is in bed with the bankers with the Fed in place, what's to stop them from being with them under the gold standard?

Some shallow thinkers that I am FOR the Fed, but I'm not. I have the same opinion as that other poster that said something like just leave it alone, it doesn't matter.

But here's the kicker, no matter what your main objection to the Fed - whether it be our budget deficit, or whatever, the simple truth is that CONGRESS spends the money and makes policy.

Blaming the Fed for the country's fiscal woes is akin to blaming the credit card companies for the fiscal woes of the person that spends beyond his means.

The whole Fed debate is, IMHO, just a rallying cry for the disaffected individuals. Especially for those from Austin....

  4. Without a central bank, interest rates would be much lower. Of course, it would be much harder to borrow large sums of money. But really the only thing that would be affected would be companies seeking venture capital. The average person would have less debt. That 5.25% is going right into the pockets of the large banks. But nothing is going to change at this point.

  5. "But nothing is going to change at this point."
Not with our present banking structure, no.

But the US will eventually go to 100% taxation.

The powerful bankers have created the serfs, might as well ride em.

  7. I tried to tell someone in my family and he refused to believe. He kept saying that the FED is the government and that you have to pay income tax. Ignorant people, they rather rot in a corporate job for the rest of their lives instead of opening up their minds to something different. Do w/e they're told, sad.
Should be something like this. I know it's cartoons but that big fat guy behind the scenes is the FED.

  8. There is plenty of blame to go around between the Fed and Congress. The Fed have an agenda or they would not have sought the power they now enjoy. Congress is comprised of mostly idiots, a reflection of the general American populous. They relinquished powers reserved for them to a private group of bankers, much smarter than they.

Indeed, we are subjects of economic slavery. Do we lay down and take it up the ass without a whimper? Many will because they are financially illiterate. Those of us who know better might consider our understanding a curse. It seems hopeless...a system well entrenched is virtually impossible to extricate. But to make no effort to change it, in spite of the odds, is to give up and say "yes master, what will you have me do for you now?"

My nature won't allow me to go down without a fight. I will support Ron Paul. I will notify Senators and Congress people that I oppose the irresponsible actions and inaction they have taken.

My bet is that until a severe economic collapse, depression and high crime across the country occurs, nothing will change. But when the collective misery threshold is hit, woe be to the leaders and bankers who allowed such conditions to manifest.

    Live free or die.
