Telling him not to chase bullshit anonymous mentors online is being positive and helping him avoid taking $10k and wiping his ass with it.
he can determine nothing now, as you said it may take a long time that is why he is looking for the mentor well, it's up to the mentor to determine what/who he dealing with and to adjust his presentation, or to tell the student to take a hike...
Like I said in my reply to speedo, one has to know what kind of trader he is. Only he can do that. I am a price action daytrader. I would never recommend my resources to anyone whose personality does not fit that kind of trading. I applaud the OP for asking for this level of help. Maybe his question is not the right one for him starting out, but it shows he is willing to learn and not afraid of asking questions.
well work with him then teach him, show that not all here are the scumbags no? its easy to plight to others - be good, well one should start with himself ...
I see several posts from people offering him good free advice and he simply replied he needs a mentor. That is not willingness to learn, that is I need someone to show me exactly what I need to do so I can repeat it and trade (but that is not how trading works).
I have no problem discussing my path and the realities of learning to trade. He can pm me and I will talk with him anytime. That goes for anyone else. If he is looking for strategies, that will have to come from someone else.
