Who can be followed in ET?

I've been considering not posting more also. Those with that "prove it" mind set are never satisfied. They don't have the faintest grasp of people who have been professional teachers like NoDoji or DBPhoenix. I've taught professionally and there is just something about working with people and teaching that is a way of life, a reward in and of itself.

Also, when I was in college I was in Circle K, the college level Kiwanis. Our sponsoring club was the international champion during one of the years I was there. Amazing people and ethic; just being around them and that way of being was eye opening. Service organizations... giving... service to others without asking for anything back. Those organizations have few recruits these days.

As to ET... last weekend I was reading Anekdoten's "AHG - Profitable Strategy for Struggling Traders" thread in the hall of fame threads and ran into this post from him back in 2008:
    .....................................
    A Call for Help

If you are an experienced trader, please read.

I started this thread to help struggling traders first and foremost but also to discuss my passion and take my journal online while interacting with fellow traders.

Well, the amazing has happened. I'm getting constant hate mail from "anonymous" traders via PM. Complaints after complaints for revealing working techniques.

First of all, this is no magic, and in the end it's down to the trader to get it right therefore I'm not sure what's up these people butts but I ignore each every one of these hate mails.

My call is simple, time to fight back.

Giving is more powerful than receiving, I truly believe that, peace of mind is priceless, I've been on both ends of the spectrum and there is nothing more gratifying than a sincere smile of appreciation.

I encourage experienced traders to chip in, let's end this selfish approach to trading once and for all.

No reason to stop there, apply it outside of trading, pay it forward however you like.

We only live once, let's do it right.

So Handle... I guess nothing has changed. Perhaps we need to be true to ourselves regardless of others. At any rate, I've found your posts more than helpful -- and also living with a lot of health issues certainly wish you the best. Don't know how you do what you do. You are amazing.

    ET Hall of fame threads:

Simple concepts, back-testable. If it is not concrete enough, nothing will be until you get enough experience to appreciate the simplicity of what she is doing -- and what she is not doing. Unfortunately, it takes us all a different amount of time to get that experience. You will take whatever time you need.

In a way I guess we all end up with our own concrete.

    Thank you.

I believe in life there is the guy who sits on the couch making a living and watches other people make a life. I am thankful for my life and I retired sixteen years ago from the rat race, since then I have just swept up more. I believe in my heart that my ego don't need the ohhs ahhs from others as they post their trades, like who cares, the general public won't learn that way, after all these years I have realized you simple can't teach people how to trade, you can show them direction, what doesn't work well enough and what works for oneself, but people have to study and back test on their own, otherwise you don't have a clue how bad is bad.

I don't know how Anek did it. LOL....I posted a chart few years ago of insanely good system I now have automated, all I got it from forum was "didn't work", I wanted to see if anyone was listening. If ya don't hold their hand on every trade, you will be hammered, screw that.

Bozos that want motive, this is a very lonesome way to make a life, perhaps it is lonesome cause once you know how to trade, it is even harder to get others to understand what it is you do, I have in past offered few to mentor them and they in disbelief of why I would teach one of my methods for free, I show direction, you still do all the work.

This is a real good find Hooti. Its also essentially all that is on my chart... just horizontal lines! I like how she marks up her charts with notes and my god, everything on her charts is actually completely familiar to me and exactly how I do it. She has a very nice way of keeping her journal on track by insisting on no indicator talk. Its a shame she ended it after only one month. But what a treasure trove she left behind if all one does is read her posts and downloads and studies just her charts.

I see frequently see trading ideas posted here at ET that "work" but the majority of comments about these otherwise workable ideas are complaints about how it doesn't work.

Autodidact thank you for enforcimg believe in TA and for suggesting to stay away from indicators; and last but not least for AAPL (dont get mad you posted that here heh)!!

Glad you & Iron.M like it. She is a gift.

"Flip lines" as opposed to just swing highs or lows. ...She just thinks good.

Am I putting words in her mouth to say she defines a trend as just going from one flip line to the next? -- and then she only takes with trend entries. I observe some of my early efforts to have a practical plan failed in part because I didn't include definitions like that and then make simple rules consistent with them. She picks a rule and then just does it. She does the same kind of thinking with her entries and protective stops.

I don't know what Susana looks like but she's beautiful in my book.
