  1. I live for trading. Does that count?

I started trading equities full time July 2000. I took 2 years off 2004 - 06 to start a business with the wife (don't do it).
Full time again 06 to present.....

  4. How would you know he has been here for years? You have been here less than 1 month. Or is it that you are one of those sad cases who spends his time on ET and makes such an arse of himself that he has to get another name in shame? You are probably GermanTrader.....he seemed to dissapear recently after making an arse out of himself.

  6. C'mon people, ya know there's a ton of full-time daytraders, myself included. Sure, not all of them are successful, but that's the beauty of this zero-sum game: one man giveth, the other taketh.

On that note, what I really want to know is why the hell do you even bother replying to this crappy thread anyway? It's a no-brainer that this OP idiot just lost his shirt and now needs to justify his losses, namely, if it doesn't work for him it shouldn't work at all.

  7. I am retired, I spend 9 to 14 hours a day gathering information, reading news feeds, trying to gain info from forums, studying charts, reading blogs, and following about 20 stocks and etf's.

I am more busy and involved in this business than I have ever been in any job that I have ever had.

Trust me, this is not a part time job. If you want to make a living investing, [read that day trading] you need to be full time dedicated.

Yes, I make a living at trading. Should have done this years ago but didn't have the resources. The old saying that "it takes money to make money" is true.

It is also true that it takes time to make money. This volatile market will not last forever but this is the time to take advantage.

Why did you want to know?
