Hello deaddog, Do not take what I say as offensive deaddog, but just be practical with me. Us retail traders are at a sever disadvantage. We can not keep hoping some "Pro" will help us. We have to get out here get busy and makes bet.
No offence taken. If you look closely you'll see that some pro's have tried to help you. It's just not the help you think you want at this time. Experience talking. Years ago people, books and other traders would give me advice and I just ignored it because I was sure it didn't apply to me. Hopefully it won't take you as long as it took me to figure it out.
I know many post saying no one is taking other side of retail, but it is so easy to do. I developed automated system based on chart patterns, I know where retail going to entry, I watched many YouTube's and listened to free "rooms", system enters early, retail runs it in one direction, let price run so far and exit, if price continues then starts to head back, system joins retrace till either breakeven stops hit or protective stops hit and reverse. There are times when retail gets lucky, market has to give them hope so they keep playing the game. Been this way past 4 decades, doubt it going to stop. When retail puts in 10,000 hours, maybe they start learning to not be a SHEEP. Baaaaa
Hello deaddog, Scalping is exactly what I am doing and nothing else. I just see and experienced things different than you. I have already figured it out. I believe trading is purely gambling and guessing, and I love it. No such thing as Edge, there is no money in seeking edge from a human standpoint ability. Edge is an marketing tool the hustlers use to sell trading stuff. I am doing scalping, and I am not doing nothing else or listening or reading nothing else. That swing trading stuff I tried, but it just do not fit my comfort level or my time schedule or mental belief. Everything made sense, when I allocated my personal time towards trading and then stopped, and then go make money in my other career. Trading is a hustle and skillset to make fast money. You are only competing against the institutions when your trade is "not" aligned with the major trend. That is a guaranteed losing strategy. Much better, align your trades with the major trend. Institutions would be at your back supporting that stock as it rockets higher. Far easier to make monies that way.
