There are Jews who follow Judaism, a religion...just like Catholics who follow Catholicism. Race has nothing to do with being a Catholic or following Catholicism. Then there are so called jews who ignore Judaism and the law of Moses. I guess you could call them ex-Jews just like the former practicing Catholics who no longer practice that religion refer to themselves as ex-Catholics. However, the Catholics and ex-Catholics are not wasting time focusing on the genetic origins of their family tree in an attempt at racial superiority. Ancestral Semites are genetically distinctive, and present day ancestral Semites who no longer follow the law of Moses or practice Judaism, claiming to be superior on the basis of genetics, are racists and not much different than the Nazi's in their theory of a master race... You may be the ancestor of some tribe of Semites, but you are not a Jew, as you don't practice Judaism. It is against the law to discriminate on the basis of creed or religion. Even atheists like yourself have legal protection. Ancestral Semites share common genetic traits...but Jews don't and that fact is because being a Jew is a religions classification. Stick with Semites, and you can have your ancestral racist tribal thinking at least make some consistent sense.
