Isn't that what the committee is being formed to determine? Isn't that what the whole debate is about? The left doesn't seem to want to know if there is evidence of a cover up, does it? We won't ever know if there is not an independent investigation, will we? My debate with you is about further investigation to make that determination. You don't think it necessary, I do. "The Judicial Watch president said the newly released emails bring the controversy âinto the White House, and it shows that the idea that the CIA created the talking points that Susan Rice was using is a big fat lie.â My understanding is that the e mail was not released voluntarily.
But listening to the right, one would think there was already ironclad proof that Clinton and Obama lied, refused to help as the attack occurred, saw that it would definitely happen and did nothing and slept through the emergency phone call. None of that is true.. Or maybe its just Faux News, jem and Leap saying that.
Hopefully all the relevant docs will be released by the WH. If so, I'm willing to accept the determination of the committee, are you?
House Stacks Deck With GOP Reps... House Republicans have decided the select committee to investigate the Benghazi terror attack will include seven Republicans and five Democrats, according to two senior House GOP leadership aides. In the email, the NRCC linked to a contribution page that alerted those who clicked through that they were "now a Benghazi Watchdog" and asked them for donations ranging between $25 and $500 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05/07/trey-gowdy-benghazi_n_5280492.html
Let the leftists also ignore that they were offered and asked to be a part of this process, but deemed it a "witch hunt" instead of taking part and proving there was nothing to hide.
Fair enough. Having common sense is more likely to indicate you are not a left winger, but you obviously misunderstood my reason for using the term I did, a common occurrence with left wingers. You'll have to excuse my mistake. To return the thread to it's intent, I'll ask you the same question I asked him, for which I didn't get a response:
"The CIA talking points â which have received endless scrutiny â never even mentioned the Internet video. Indeed, former Deputy CIA Director Mike Morell confessed to being surprised when he saw Rice blame the Benghazi attack on the video. He later told Congress "thatâs not something the [CIA] analysts have attributed the attack to." According to Morell, he didnât even know that Rice was going on TV and he didnât know if she even received the "talking points." Morell knew it wasnât about the video and he also knew there had been no protest, either. Just hours after the CIA sent its "talking points" memo to Congressman Rogers on Sept. 15, 2012, the CIA Libyan station chief reported that there had been no ground demonstrations. Morel reported this information to Denis McDonough, Obamaâs National Security Adviser (the CIA didnât bother to correct their own talking points)."
