A currency that goes through 50% up and down in value is a good store of value? LOL What value did it store when it lost 50% of its value? LOL Anti-inflation? How's it anti-inflation when there are now thousands of cryptos just like Bitcoins flowing around? Congrats if you say so. Hope you hold onto it. In the trading world, it's now how much you make that counts but how much you can retain at the end of the day that does. And sorry to disappoint you, I am not going into a pissing contest. How much I make in trading is not something that I need to show you.
What does other crypto floating around have to do with Bitcoin? In the time Bitcoin went from 16k to 70k gold went from like $1200 to $1600 lol...who cares about pullbacks...gold is old dude.
Having to do with Bitcoin being anti-inflationary. It's only anti-inflationary if it has limited supply but if there are close substitutes to it then it doesn't have limited supply anymore does it? Ok so you admit it's not a good store of value then or has stability of value even if its value can go up and down by 50%+ in just a few years. See you have no concept of what a currency's supposed to be like or let alone a legal tender that an entire country of people need to depend on for their livelihood or even a reserve currency that an entire world of people use to run their lives. Like I said before, Bitcoin just like any crypto's, is just another tradable commodity that you play with to get rich if you are lucky.
Buffet has made his billions. He needs to make 1% per annum to be successful. You and I aren't rich,we need to look for the opportunities that are home runs, all whilst making what we can from the markets. Edit to say that I'm not picking on you TheDawn .You just happen to be taking opposite sides in the threads we seem to both be in last couple of days.
My point was that you nor I nor schizo should compare ourselves to him or make decisions based on what he is doing.
And my point is that he's arguably as sharp today as he was when he started before he got rich. And he thinks crypto is...well, you fill in the blank. And remember, he's the value investor.
He does admit its a 2008.haha We could all have one if it was prudent. Its not an out of this world claim. The fact that he earned it in a single trade would be worthy of a call out but, again, this wouldnt be a wild claim.
