If we do indeed have a major crash soon, it will have been the best advertised one in history: there is literally a new piece of news screaming "market top" each day.

    1. US cities going bankrupt
    2. Recent new world record set for world's tallest building
    3. Recent new world record set for world's most expensive painting
    4. Most "exciting" new IPO simply fizzles out among accusations of cheating
    5. Most rapid doubling of the stock market (from Mar 2009) in history
    6. Market continues to creep up on low volume with periodic downward adjustments on high volume
    7. No one bothering to create any jobs.
    8. Senior finance professionals facing criminal charges at a rate never seen before

Yet I hear constant chirping about low valuations and QE from the "it's different this time - Ben will save us!" crowd..

  2. Kay: Did he say anything to you?
James Edwards: Yeah, that the world is coming to an end.
    Kay: Did he say when?
