  3. He said he would shut down the government so why shouldn't Congress go home and enjoy the holidays while Donnie and Melania sit in uncomfortable silence...

  5. Federal workers are suing the US government over the shutdown

Federal workers on Wednesday sued the U.S. government over the shutdown, protesting the requirement that employees who are considered "essential" must report to work without pay, a major federal workers' union announced Monday.

An estimated 420,000 employees fall into the category of being essential, many of them working for the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department, focused on public safety. In previous government shutdowns, Congress approved back pay for federal employees, something that's likely to happen again once the standoff between President Donald Trump and congressional Democrats ends.

It is a Union that is suing - not federal workers. This is just a typical union shakedown.

  8. Just about organizing under one heading, all 400,000 workers cannot get together to file a suit. Also, they are not getting paid because rich people are having a pissing contest, I don't think this is a typical union shakedown, they are simply asking to get paid what they were already promised, not striking for higher wages and benefits.

The first and primary responsibility of the union in this situation is to provide union members zero interest loans or partial pay to cover their expenses while the employer is not providing compensation. After collecting all the union dues for years the union failed completely in this responsibility.

What did the union do with all the members money instead? They spend large chunks of it on political PACs to influence politicians.

This lawsuit has no chance of success and is a money-wasting publicity stunt to help the politicians the union has traditional supported. Many pundits have also stated that it is likely the lawsuit itself violates the law.

So tell me when the union is going to start meeting its primary responsibility of providing union members with zero interest loans or partial pay to cover their expenses?

  10. So it is the Union's fault the people are not getting their paycheck? Nice deflection....
