Easy. Stand top step in high volume pit next to a high volume filling broker who happens to be your relative.
@2rosy, you better should klick on "Reply" and quote the posting you are referring to, as otherwise nobody knows to which posting you do reply.
Are you actually achieving 1.3% per day or is this just theoretically? I also have done both and found that swing trading was just as profitable without the stress of sitting in front of a monitor all day. I'm happy with anything over 20% per year.
Depends on the risk. I do risk 5% (max loss) per day and achieve +1.3%. I day trade news and the opens, for about an hour every day. If there is not enough volatility then I don't even day trade for the day. Everyone has his own personality, preferences.
2230% gain per year is a bit much. The highest fast return I ever made was buying LEAPs on all low price housing stocks near the end of last October. I had Zillow March 2024 60 calls when it was in the 30s and it went up 22X in 4 weeks. The same for Redfin, Rocket, etc. That was an anomaly due to the Fed pivot and rates going from 5% to 3.8% in like 2 months. I didn't do it but if you bought LEAPs on NVDA AMD SMCI last summer you could have made upwards of 100X in 9 months. I like the massive leverage of LEAPs if you get the direction correct. I bought LEAPs on EL when it was near the lows and it went up like 50% in 3 months and the option went up about 10X.
