I'd like to have your opinion on the matter. I think about gold, telecom and environment (green stocks)
Gold (after decent correction, perhaps $30-40), palladium, Japan. Also, I'd follow grains futures but this is for another thread
May I update this thread, dear colleagues? Last year was pretty in line with our forecasts. Gold, grains, telecoms all outpreformed the broad market by wide margin (+23%, +30%, +36% respectively), energy and commodities as an asset class were in line (+16,5% XLE and +13,5% CCI index), Japan performed poorly (+7% for the year starting on 01/03/06) and only broadband disspaointed strongly (-15% according to BDH performance). Let's share out thoughts for 2007? Personally, I don't have such a clear picture in my mind as in 2006 but I think Gold, Silver and Palladium (as well as XAU, HUI, GDX) will be Ok on absolute basis. Also, I'd bet again on Japan as I think EWJ will be 20% higher during the year (not neccesarily in December 2007).
