which prop firm wants a Nas fut trader

  2. I don't understand the necessity of a prop firm for futures. Intraday margins are low enough already. You can trade an IB or Velocity account from anywhere in the world. I apologize if I sound skeptical, but this question comes up a lot and I don't really understand why.

    Maybe to sit in a room with other traders for the office experience, and to share squawk box, etc.

    What services do you need specifically that you can't get at home on your own?

    If you are trading NQ and ES, why not look at trading QQQQ and SPY at a firm where your equivalent rates might actually be lower and you can have all the leverage you need? The etf's trade the same as the futures and the spreads are tighter. Since you are in Canada, there is no tax advantage to futures over etf's.
