Price and all other hardware components being equal, between these two systems which should perform faster? Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300 (1.86GHz, 1066 FSB) OR Pentium D Processor 820 with Dual Core Technology (2.80GHz, 800FSB) The Core 2 Duo's are newer (I think) and have a faster bus, but the older Pentium D has a faster clock speed. I'm helping a totally non-tech savvy individual get a new computer, but they don't need it for trading, just normal stuff like e-mail, word processing, Excel, and web surfing, so I'm looking at a little older budget-priced stuff. Thanks in advance.
E6300 but if you can wait for the E6320 out in 2nd quarter, it will have double the cache (4mb) for the same price
