Did you try it? All it does (my guess at least) is take a snapshot of this registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\Configuration) and then replaces the values when you come out of sleep with that snapshot. It should work.
as expected, it didn't work. I have tried tens of such programs and all didn't work. No more trying such software for me. Indeed, this is really an impossible problem to fix. Now did NASA run those multiple monitors? I am sure they don't use Microsoft Windows 10, or 11.
I'll bet you the solution is there, right in front of your eyes, but you cannot see it. It HAS to be, because lord knows, Win10 does not have "bugs", just undocumented features.
Then download a registry comparator, take a before and after snapshot, take ownership of of the registry folder I pointed out above and remove "system permissions" from the individual entries that changed. There's no way in the world that won't work. Save a restore point before you do it in case you have no idea what you're doing. Anything can be fixed.
Microsoft has a fix for unwanted program window rearrangements on multi-display systems Microsoft has created a fix for the issue and is already testing it on the Windows Insider channel. According to a blog post on the Microsoft DirectX Dev Blog, it fixes issues on devices that connect to at least two (desktop) or one (laptop) external monitors. Microsoft employee Michelle Xiong, program manager of the Grapics Team, explains why the issue occurs: The technical terminology we use to describe this problem is known as Rapid Hot Plug Detect (Rapid HPD). This behavior impacts DisplayPort multi-monitor setups which results in unwanted desktop rearrangements. We have worked towards mitigating desktop rearrangements when Rapid HPD occurs. The fix is available in Windows OS builds 21287 and newer, and a system that is connected to multiple monitors. Desktop systems require at least two external monitors, laptops at least one external monitor. The build number suggests that the fix could find its way into Windows 10 version 21H2, out in the second half of 2021. The solution works for all monitor manufacturers, hardware specs, connector types and cable brands according to Microsoft. -------------------------------- The above is FALSE! With Windows 10, I had to spend about 15 seconds rearranging the windows after UNLOCK. With Windows 11, I have to spend > 1 min rearranging the windows after UNLOCK. This problem continues to be in the IMPOSSIBLE-TO-FIX problem. Please do not offer any suggestions/solutions unless you have verified it.
Ecological overshoot. This civilization cannot solve it because our tools are the cause of the problem itself. Nature will solve it, however.
Being young and avoiding death forever. It's a Romanian children's story: https://www.povesti-pentru-copii.co...e-fara-batranete-si-viata-fara-de-moarte.html and it depressed the hell out of me somewehere around 10 when I read it. So I immediately started applying the following algorithm ever since: try { - accept the mental band aid provided by religion and the belief there's still something after nothing } catch (StillCantBelieveThisBullshitException) { - I'm gonna engineer myself to being young and cheating death forever - This is likely gonna take a huge amount of resources like hiring not the tens of thousands of highly intelligent people who are working on this currently but millions of them - There's an immense amount of intellectual energy wasted in what amounts to digging holes and filling them up again, if only I could harness that and have those people work on genetical engineering and environmental physics instead changing layouts and button colors and adding 17 new layers of tracking everyone with every obligatory OS / app update happening at least twice a year so they can be sold more crap which keeps the NOP machine going (the best example of an extremely intelligent computing machine made by humans used for running NOP operations is Bitcoin) - I'm gonna try become a billionaire and hire as many smart guys like me to work with me under similar incentives: starting with being ensured me and my family doesn't have to do busy NOP operations for a living at least several generations. } catch (WillNeverMakeEnoughMoneyToBeatWhatAwaitsMeBeforeItGetsMe) { - So I relaxed my project specifications. Can't beat it, can't avoid it. At least deal with it on my own terms: https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/do-i-need-dutch-citizenship-for-this.363391/ }
