There is a steep learning curve, but since I started using R (back in 2015) and, especially the "caret" package within R (which has multiple classifiers through a standardized single function), I never looked back at anything else. Once you develop a successful strategy that trades well on historical data, you can just pay someone to connect it to the market. PS, If you're interested, I'm currently sharing parts of my setup here: pxworks.io (currently in development, but already usable for automating my own trading activity). The only downside is that you do have to learn to code, or hire someone to do it for you.
