    how long did it take for the housing bubble to build up, and how long did it take for it to burst?

    it took 5 years for the s&p 500 to go from 900 to 1550, and 9 months to go from 1550 to 900.

  6. Fear is the support structure for many things including greed
    therefore fear is greater as it affects many more arenas than greed, not vice versa.

  10. Greed, because of the get-rich-quick mentality of most traders. It makes it hard for them to maintain gains and kept a strict investment plan over the long term, especially amid such a frenzy, the "irrational exuberance" of the overall market.
