I thought FX does not really start trading until after 5 pm EST on sundays perhaps when there is market making news such as G7 meeting some spot forward / retail fx dealers can open up whenever they like? or are there actually BANKS trading FX now in Asia ?
looks like I forgot the kiwi traders Against Europe's common currency, the dollar traded at about $1.2581 at 8:10 a.m. in Wellington, from $1.2706 in New York late on Friday ( saw this on the bloomie )
or misquotes .... SAXO shows USD / EUR rate 150 plus pips different than Oanda rates ? both are lower than NY close friday maybe I will watch bloomie TV later on before trading
does anyone actually daytrade currencies?. Seem random to me. I can see they would make nice moves as position/trend trades tho.
not sure what you mean daytrade (too many definitions) but currency move pretty well during a 24 hours interval
Has anyone tried CMC Forex? http://www.cmcgroupplc.com/us/forex/home.jsp They have a lot of pairs and not bad spreads all round. Their one of the few that allow you to trade pound vs Aus dollar which is one im interested in outside of majors.
