scalping profitable no doubt but most of the time it causes a huge risk , so should use risk management first of all.
scalping is good but newcomers always fall a great trouble when they try to bring good profit by scalping with low money management.
In my opinion, the MT4 platform is suitable for scalping since it is mostly used for currency trading, and scalping is more about currency pairs. The MT4 is user friendly and its analytical tools can be an advantage while scalping, even with volatile pairs.
Have you selected and registered with a broker yet? I have been scalping with Forexchief for more than 3 years. I also run an EA on the mt5 platform. It runs smoothly, no restrictions.
There are many kinds of trading platforms like ninjatrader, ctrader, plus500, etc, but so far I am using FXOpen broker that supports Metatrader 4 and Metatrader 5, and also available TickTrader, for scalping trading usually trade on EURUSD its has a low spread, and XAUUSD also good for scalping but risky due to higher volatility. I am use Metatrader 4 for PC.
It is entirely dependent on your trading style and preferences, in my opinion. You'll have to figure it out on your own through trial and error. One platform may work well for one person but not for another.
There are many trustworthy platforms with rich features and competitive trading conditions, however I chose Hotforex because it has raw spread account, means there is no mark up in spreads, instead I pay commission, it just fits the bill for my scalping strategy
I would use the MT4 platform for scalping. Because it is simple to understand and trade on. Scalping, in my opinion, is for traders who are skilled enough to analyse the market and make their trades accordingly. Because knowing when to enter and exit the market is a little tricky. And because scalping is done for such a short period of time, there are chances that a newbie may blow out his account. So you require a good understanding & practice in order to achieve desired results.
