Which indicators measure how parabolic something is pretty well?

    Most likely you will have experimented, but i find the default settings of ParabolicSAR indicator more useful on 2 minute and 3 minute charts (also 5 min) than i do on 1 minute. My favored approach is to sell if price dips below SMA 10 on a 1 minute chart.

    Have you tried RSI? As RSI approaches >90/<10, typically a good indicator of "parabolic"/"climactic" condition on that timeframe.

    Yes; it may work better than angles. But in a good stock market uptrend, you can ignore RSI almost all the time................................................. BUT a good trend up or down trend, Mr Daal, mostly looks ''too steep'' Check out GE downtrend , ''steep selloffs'' , many of them, again LOL GE max charts[1987-now, ]:D:cool:
