  6. I've bought 9 17' Samsung 170Ss at Sam's Club in the past 2 years starting in the low $600s. They are now down to the $400s I believe. I pay the small extra for Sam's warranty and one of them was in fact DOA. I particularly like the narrow borders around the around screen because I have some space limitations at one site.

I am happy with them but have not checked out the other displays mentioned by posters on this thread.

  8. Back to your original question: If you're asking whether you should use one 19" or multiple 18", the answer is the latter, hands down. In fact, two 17" would be better than one 19"--much more viewing area and flexibility.

I have two Dell 1702FP digital 17" flat panels and would love a third. The graphics and text are superb! When Dell has a 20%-off sale, you can pick one up for around $450. The only drawbacks are that the bezel on these is too thick and they aren't mountable.

    Good luck!:)

  9. The best video cards for traders (looking at 2D 99% of the time) are Matrox. If you go with the Samsung 191T - excellent choice. I've got the 181T and it's great. I currently use the Matrox G550 but if I were you I would not buy this card because only one output is digital.

In just a couple of weeks, Matrox will release the G650 (and G750 - the same thing with fluff added) which looks by far the best bet. It's got dual DIGITAL outputs as it's key selling point, and cost will be very reasonable.

You can pre-order at their web site. Pair that up with a Samsung 191T (or 181T) and you'll love it, plus have room to expand to second digital 191T!
