I like bench press, weights are easily adjusted. You'd look fairly strange doing dips with your feet on the ground lol.
I think dips would provide better development than a flat bench if that's the only choice. My preference is to do barbell and dumbbell bench because of all the variation I can get, flat, incline, decline.
I always believed dips and bench presses focused on different parts of the chest so they are not mutually exclusive.
I can’t disagree with you guys, since I do horizontal pushing movements as well as vertical. I was just curious to know which most people preferred. Idle curiosity.
Most swing hips back , head forward and down. Possibly, the spine is now 30 degrees from vertical. You involve the chest more so reps become easier. Close to and similar to a decline bench press. Yet most would call the decline redundant or not necessary or an isolation move Most would agree you can bench more than dip. More work per unit time so......the winner is.......
