Where To Start?

  1. So here's my situation....I want to start trading full time

    I'm in Los Angeles

I'm thinking I should look for a prop firm because I've never traded and I need a mentor. Where is a good one in Los Angeles????? So far I found 2. Assent and Chimera. I like what I hear from Chimera but I have to wait for the next recruitment period which is in a few months just to get a shot.

I'm not sure I want to trade stocks, fx, derivatives, etc. But I'm leaning towards fx because it is around the clock, easier to trade anywhere in the world, and I can trade at home after I come back from trading at the prop firm?, and I have the series 3.

What to do? Any comments is appreciated.

    What is a prop firm?

  6. You got a Lambo, Jimmi ? What year ?

  7. Lambo, I'd go with fx. I have day/ swing traded stocks, with little success, but when i switched to fx, I find it easier because:

    1. 24hr market
    2. 400:1 leverage unlike 3:1 in stocks
    3. Not as many crosses to keep up with...i watch mainly USD/JPY, GBP/USD, EUR/USD, AND AUD/USD.
    4. Very liquid, no major players can manipulate price, to the extent that they can in stocks/ futures
