  2. South AFricans can buy or sell Kruger Rands through their stockbrokers on the Johannesburg STock Exchange for T+3 delivery. The closing Bid ASk on Friday was R8100 to R8250. There are R10 to one USD, so South Africans have the privilege of picking up coins at pretty much the spot price Currently $816 i think. When Gold is moving alot, or R/$ rate is volatile, the market makers have a field day on the screens. THe coins over time have traded at premiums of up to 10% above Gold spot and even at times at a discount of around 5%. I am not sure however whether non Residents can trade KR on the JSE.

  3. If you are resourceful, you can get 30% off of gold coins on ebay with the microsoft live promotion. The prices are high before the rebate, but basically you can get at spot or below for most coins. The limit is $200/purchase, though, so you need to buy 1/2 oz or below per order.

  4. Here's how. Still works today.

Go to live.com, search for 'bullion ebay' until you see '30% cashback offer' and click on that link.

Then your purchase gets a 30% rebate directly into your paypal account. Been buying coins for in the $700s/oz. Not bad for something that has some slight premium to spot.

Here is what you are looking for.
