Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is rubbing voters the wrong way: poll

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to be rubbing voters the wrong way — if they’ve heard of her at all — with 36 percent of respondents in a new poll saying they have a negative opinion of her.

A Quinnipiac University survey released Thursday found that 23 percent gave her a favorable rating, but 38 percent said they didn’t know enough about the progressive politician to form an opinion about her — despite her being on the April 1 cover of Time magazine.

  3. Probably, in the Bronx, they are not going to worry much about her plans to eliminate cows.

The Amazon fiasco, that's another matter. That's what will bite her the most. If it were just a matter of being a commie and a birdbrain- not a prob- Hollywood and Soros would just roll in some rappers or movie tards to campaign for her.

Although I don't know. Depends on how many votes she costs the dems over time, and it is not a district that is at risk of becoming republican. They would just be choosing between Commie and Commie-Lite. And I guess Che Guevera would fall into the Commie-Lite category these days. So I am not sure how committed the lefties at the DC and DNC level are to going all out for her, if they are still somewhat guaranteed to hold that seat. In a presidential election year they will definitely have bigger problems to deal with.

We have examples of those who were were unpopular nationally that became President. In truly democratic contests popularity seems to matter. Otherwise it may be less important. She seems to be wildly popular in her district. As long as that holds she can look forward to a long career in the House. My own judgement of her based on only her questioning of Michael Cohen is that she is logical, appears to be uncommonly bright, and is beautiful. I think she'll have a long, successful career in politics. She is certainly attracting a lot of press.

  5. Redistricting will kick in for her district after the 2020 election, so she may have to appeal to someone beyond the grifters, and freeloaders and student union radicals who support her today if she wants "a long career in the House."

No doubt she is increasing her own brand massively with her ilk. So is Omar the Jew-Hater. In the end, the power players in the dem party will decide whether she is helping or hurting the dem brand/votes and then decide who they will support or work against. The 2020 election will determine that. AOC's pet projects and views will be used as cannon fodder every step of the way and the dnc can decide afterwards whether she helped or hurt. Howd that trial vote on the New Green Deal go? Oh, I see. You wouldn't want to race some of those dems to the lifeboats.

Surprisingly. I dont really care that much. She is having fun and is not bitchy and depressed like the other dems, the men included, and I think the votes she gains for the dems versus the votes lost is a net wash or negative, so she should just do what she wants and I see nothing to worry about. Same with Biden and the other idiots. You got an inner calling to do something stupid? Fine. go for it. That's what makes you a democrat.

Interesting that AOC isn’t as well known by democrats and independents as she is among republicans. Hmmm...

When you combine this look with brains you've got a winning combination in the eyes of Joe the Plumber. I don't see Trump competing on the same plane with this. He might as well pack it in. She's going to be a political star!
