  3. Are these things available for trading yet? They said the launch was yesterday and it looks to be trading today but I can't get them on TWS under symbols 8Q and 6Q. Anyone traded them yet?

  4. Symbols on TWS are Mini-Gold QO and Mini-Silver QI.

Someone at IB said they are monitoring 8Q/6Q for interest, but may add them by end of May..

QO/QI are the old 1/2 contracts

  6. Oops my bad. I thought they just had different symbols for them. Thanks for the correction.

Sort of like waiting for the fans to show up before you decide to build the stadium isn't it? How can there be interest if you don't have access to trade it.

    They updated the site:
"Product code for E-mini Gold is 8Q, CME Globex code is XGN"

Search for XGN and XSN (e-mini silver). They're up and e-mini gold has been trading.

I'm looking at the YG and 8Q. YG has just a bit more volume. They both seem to have the same margin requirements. Any real advantage to use one over the other?

I could save a buck a month in data fees if I just did 8Q. :)
