What we've got is a situation where the market has finally reached critical mass to the downside. The DOW HAS to test the 10,000 level. I think the real sell off will come when people find out the bailout hasn't done shit to save the economy.

Not to mention all the inflation its going to cause which will kill consumer confidence. Bernake and Paulson have killed the markets.

Non trading prediction:
The week will start out weak but we will end above Fridays close by 20- 50 pts on the S&P. Why? Massive coordinated effort by G7 CB's to stabilize current credit turmoil.

5. K. When will we get that "notice" all-wise one?

That -20 points is a MIN on the SPX. Could range is 30-80 downside and put in a possible bottom by Wed.

How the hell are you determining an upside BTW? That's a joke man.

Why? Because I'm looking at the chart as we speak

6. That's impossible. The DJIA will look like the Zimbabwe stock exchange (hyperinflated) before it goes down that low.

7. Without one shred of doubt, I firmly, with complete total conviction, again I repeat, with all doubt removed, state that the DOW and S&P will be much, much, much higher by next Friday. I am willing to bet the whole shabang on it.

Unless,

and I say this with great sorrow,

Unless,

This is so hard,

It goes down.

8. just for the record:
Friday (10/3/2008)

Dow 10,325.38 -157.47
S&P 500 1,099.23 -15.05

I think next Friday both indexes will be higher...can't tell by how much...they'll be higher then 10/3/2008 close.
