I use Interactive Brokers. I have periods of "idleness." Questions is: How to best generate risk free return while being "idle?" Short term T bills? Price may fluctuate before maturity and you may want to get into gear before maturity. CD? the Fed is determined to push savers. Comments?
Sorry to hear you use IB. But thatâs beside the point. Risk free? Iâm not sure that exists. Even cash has risk if inflation increases. Good luck though.
If you need break from trading for whatever reason, then put on long term trades. Try trading the weekly timeframes. You can use options to hedge if you need peace of mind. Or put on spreads and let time work for you. Just a thought. Cash should not be idle, it should sweat all the time
