They dont, the greater economy benefits. They need to retrain themselves and do other jobs.

Its not only outsourcing, technology has also killed many jobs --highway toll-both workers for one. Should we not have infrared toll collection system because it took away a job?

Thats freaking insane, using logic that says we dont want people to lose their jobs because they'd be inconvenienced by having to train for a job that society does need; well, we'd still be a farming economy cuz machines would never have replaced the manual field work.

  3. You knuckle draggers do realize that outsourcing results in less labor costs and thus cheaper goods for consumers?

  4. If everyone loses their job, how will we be able to purchase goods that the American companies are hawking? Answer is that we won't, and hence the company's sales revenue will go down. These companies seem to not look at the long term effects, just the short term benefits.

You must not be from the US ... all countries will seek to better themselves. Its just when you compare 3rd world contries to the US - what a US company would pay them there would seem like alot but would seem outrageous to us.

Thats why there needs to be a government to protect companies for just look for the $ rather then its own people.

again you are saying america is greedy ... greedy as compared to what? Id like to know what country in the world that doesnt try to look out for their own.

I do agree that american companies are greedy. They need to keep the jobs in the US, boot the 20 million illegal aliens out and make them come in legally and stat paying people what they should be paid.

-little off topic- the illegal alien thing in the states reminds me of when people brought slaves here to work. As if thats the only way things would get done is to get slaves to do it and to try to justify why it needed to be so.

most of the time when the topic of illegal aliens comes up - the issue of ... whose going to pick all the oranges, whose going to clean the house etc etc (for dirt cheap). People wont do the work. Not true. Companies and people will just have to learn to pay people the correct wage for the job ... people will do the work.
(britain has the same problem - but instead of illegals; they are almost all legal.)

So because noone is putting a stop to this we have the issue we are having 20 million illegals with wide open borders and with a huge cost on the econemy because someone has to pay for all these illegals health costs, crime etc ...

  6. illegals aren't the answer.....

14 Reasons to Deport Illegal Aliens

Hope these 14 reasons are forwarded over and over again until they are read
by the majority of Americans. Then they will have something to yell at their
    U.S. Congressmembers.

    1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each
    year. http://tinyurl.com/zob77

    2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as
food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.
    http://www.cisorg/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html

    3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.
    http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html

    4. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school
education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of
    English!
    http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.0.html

    5. $17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born
children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.
    http://transcripts.cnncom/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

    6. $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.
    http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

    7. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.
    http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

    8. $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare &
social services by the American taxpayers.
    http://premium.cnncom/TRANSCIPTS/0610/29/ldt.01.html

    9. $200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by
    the illegal aliens.
    http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

    10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two and
a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children
are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the United States
    http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/12/ldt.01.html

    11. During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that
crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from
Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroine and
marijuana, crossed into the U. S. from the Southern border. Homeland
    Security Report:
    http://tinyurlcom/t9sht

    12. The National Policy Institute, "estimated that the total cost of mass
deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of
between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period."
    http://wwwnationalpolicyinstitute.org/pdf/deportation.pdf

    13. In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back to
    their countries of origin. http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm

    14. "The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million Sex Crimes
Committed by Illegal Immigrants In The United States ".
    http://www.drdskcom/articleshtml

So using the LOWEST estimates, the annual cost OF ILLEGAL ALIENS is $338.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR! So if deporting them costs between $206 and $230 BILLION DOLLARS - we're ahead of the game the first year

  7. That's a very big "IF". It's actually never better or faster, only cheaper, because the quality deteriorates. But as long as the boss gets a big bonus thanks to offshoring, they will hide and manipulate those facts for as long as possible.

  8. Do you have the slightest clue just how fake that unemployment figure is? Or do you just stick your head in the sand whenever truth nears your ears?

    #28     Sep 4, 2007
  9. No, but I might start sticking my fingers in the ears when the Conspiracy Theorists arrive and continue spewing drivel and that the nation is greedy and the unfairness to the masses.

The unemployment figure is a gauge. It has not varied much in decades.

I know you could make a list of how many people have given up looking and are not counted. But counterbalancing this is the large number of people who make money off the black market or work under the table.

In construction, they estimate up to 30% of the people nationwide are undocumented and work under the table. Many are already citizens, not just illegals. The construction company owners accept large amounts of cash. People renting out rooms or apartments and accept cash under the table. The restaurant industry, etc. etc..

Think we should estimate the total and REDUCE the unemployment rate based on that?

Again, it is just a gauge.
