    There are options for ES,NQ.
So why you need options for MES,MNQ? What are difference between them? Does ES,NQ price move any differently than MES,MNQ?

wmwmw-It’s a matter of scale. ES are too big for some and SPY margin in Reg-t accounts is very high. Options on the Micros would draw in traders away from SPY. Futures have no PDT rule.

We are talking about options, not futures.

Yes, I know. Options on ES are still on a symbol that is $50/point with a margin over $7000, while the Micros are 10% of that, same with the options if they are created. It would work better for smaller accounts than ES and SPY.

Well with cash markets & index options having 0 fees on options, I guess CME doesn't think they can compete?

Would love micro options due to their 24/7 nature tho, don't mind paying the duopoly their fee. Tho of course I would prefer a free market where other exchanges can open and compete including offering 0 fees on futures/options
