The going rate for a Brazilian X-rated actress is about $175 per sex scene -- a fraction of what talent in the Los Angeles area costs. Unlike most of their American counterparts, condoms are the norm for the Brazilian sex stars. It's an example many in the U.S. adult entertainment industry say Americans should learn. Tim Connelly, publisher of California-based AVN, an adult film industry magazine, said Brazil is the place to go today. He said economics and beautiful women are driving the growth of the Brazilian porn industry.
