    Now if I knew that...:D

Since W. Ford and his people (Foundation) has all their wealth tied up in F stock, I would think it's unlikely a CH II is in their future.

Maybe the Chinese Gov. would be a buyer? Possible buy the shares from the Foundation?

I believe it's all about leadership...But granted, it'll take time...and the right mix of vehicles.

What Ford need mostly is to shrug off the boring image its built up over the past 3 decades. Get a good design team. Build what the markets will want to buy.
The last interesting car Ford built was the Mustang and that's going back a few years.

  4. I totally agree. I guess George Bush really wasn't that much of a factor in ford's demise(3 decades), and won't be much of a factor in ford's comeback.

  6. carlos g made a good point yesterday in a interview... he was speaking regarding gm chiefs wagoners comment that the yen and yuan is hurting north american car producers. ghosn reminded the world that 80% of nissans north american car production is done in north america and their profit margins are just fine thank you very much....

mad wagoner look exactly like he is - a lazy greedy bloated dolt... just like gm

with some additional boost by exploiting other peoples' ressources
and some lack of war on domestic soil ... and i hope you realise
that the government has taken the capitalistic thing a little too far.

  10. If possible, the best option for GM anf Ford is to merge. There is too much competition against German and Japanese companies. Also selling off their losing brands would help as well.
