close on 3rd Wednesday every contract month. Better leaving 3 days before expiring day, and Monday is holiday, you can still trade in Sunday night and Tuesday.
Nope Last Trading Day: Trading terminates at the close of business on the third business day prior to the 25th calendar day of the month preceding the delivery month. If the 25th calendar day of the month is a non-business day, trading shall cease on the third business day prior to the business day preceding the 25th calendar day. http://www.nymex.com/CL_spec.aspx
thanks for the reply, I sold it today at 38.13. crude is very volatile, in the morning I sit there several minutes, it dip to 34 under, that scared me, but I kept my GTC limit order at 38.13, then shut down my computer, turn it on in the noon, my order is executed. I thought today's move is short squeeze, must be lots of short sale there. I noticed gas price is keep going up.
