this might end up being a situation similar to japan where the rate can go to 0. can't bubble out of a bubble without the burst being pretty big. not to mention there are a lot of similarities between now and the depression. heck a law that was taken out in 99 that was put in after the depression regarding banks has helped in the banking blow up we are currently seeing.
