Most commonly, when is considered the open of each forex trading day, in other words, which price is the opening price used by most traders?

3 times each 24 hrs...Asian, Eur, USA (there is overlaps)

Many consider 17:00est the start of a daily bar, however for us connoisseurs we like to be more picky with our choices..

Although this month all the action has been in the Far East and London time has been so dull.

 

Forex market starts at 5pm Sunday New York time & closes on 5pm Friday New York time.

 

No, NY traders don't start trading at 5PM in the afternoon.
