I suppose bsd stands for bahamian dollar(lots of forex traders here) or perhaps With Heaven's Help (Aramaic - B'Siyata D'sh'maya)(lots of desperate traders here).

or perhaps bsd stands for bull shit distributors?

    what else could it be?

  2. For an idea of what will happen, look at Russia when the wall came down. Hardest hit of all were the fixed income pensioners. I think many starved. The best was the organized criminal element (not the politicians I mean).

  3. I'm betting it WILL fly... unless the police and military refuse to go along. Goverment at some point will try it... sheeple without conviction will just "gather themselves into pens".

If you consider how far we've come in the last 100 years, looks like we're almost there now.

  4. I have an idea to help balance the budget rather quickly. I doubt Obama will take it though.

Since teaching can be delivered through the internet with a bunch of super-teachers from a central location, use the internet to change the way education is delivered.

Layoff 90% of the teachers, congregate the best ones into regional centers using the internet to deliver education. Pay baby-sitting wages to the areas where the students congregate (hiring the unemployed) and incorporate police stations into (or close by) the schools for well-behaved kids. Plow all savings into deficit payout first by law.

Downside the enormous dead weight of administrators to a central area or several central areas to determine the consistent message sent to all students. Test from there as well.

In the future, they will have to learn to use the internet anyways. May as well start them young.

The thinking that got us into this mess needs to change in some big way. Just a wild idea.

  5. In Chicago, Al Capone supposedly owned judges since he knew this is where the real power lay. One judge squealed about it and the FBI fixed some of the problem. Don't think for a moment that the courts are not already controlled by the real power interests. That doesn't mean every decision made shows it. Just a few odd decisions made at the right time on controversial issues. (I like the movie the pelican brief.)

Currently, the US doesn't get to choose a leader. Money drives the campaign and before anyone gets to actually choose, both leaders have been vetted by the money interests that fund their campaigns. The people choose between the pre-selected few.

It is sad that those who trust the government most to save them, may end up being hurt the most in the end.

    Just my opinions.

  6. Let me get this straight. You are saying our offspring who serve in the US military could turn their guns on their hometowns and families?

  7. I put little faith in US gov't in current form. However, I do still believe in the ordinary American. Don't underestimate him.

  8. We absolutely agree here. Three years ago on the cruise ship when many people were asking me what I thought we should do, I said this same thing. The solution will not come from the two political parties, but the common folk who stand up and say that is enough.

I really do have faith in the average common folk in the long run. Vested interests have run things for far far too long in my view. We need to get back to ordinary folk again.

  9. who was buying all the ammo since Obama got in power? I don't think it was some Marxist garbage leftovers from the Cold War era, it was the John Q. Public folk that don't want totalitarianism.

  10. Agreed. Now a socialistic form of government...unlike the 50's.

B.S. They've been getting hammered: no influence or power...the 99 percenters, remember ? They're like Arnold Schwartznegger in that movie where he is crawling along with one arm...remember ? They're done, finished, caput.
