When shorting a CFD, do you pay (sell) at the BID price and sell(buy) at the ask price?

I think it's almost impossible these days to find a broker, especially one regulated out of Cyprus, that isn't an 'award winner' or 'multiple award winning'.

Basically it's meaningless, 'awards' have turned into marketing gimmicks and anyway most are paid for, ie pay our magazine or website loads of advertising and we'll give you an award.

The other thing to note is why are you looking to get involved with a broker that operates out of Cyprus? They are located there for a reason and that reason won't help you.

Cyprus contrary to what most people may think is part of the EU, therefore regulated under EU banking and financial laws.

It may well be, but would you rather do business with a firm regulated by the UKs FCA or one regulated by Cyprus?

Would you rather do business with a firm that has its operations and books examined by the FCA or by the Cypriot regulator?

As I said, there's a reason why these firms are located in Cyprus and it's not to help their clients, it's to help them.

Doesn't matter. CySEC has €17.5 million reserved for payouts in case of a broker bankruptcy, that's a laughable sum. Cyprus is not stable at all as they were financially desperate not too long ago. But hey, it's your money.
