What phone/tablet/service provider do you use ? Currently I have an application for yahoo finance but it is 15/20 min late. Any suggestion ?
HTC Inspire with AT&T (though I think its ThunderBolt w/ Verizon ftw if you are in 4g range), thinkorswim mobile. I just like the big screen honestly.
http://www.cmegroup.com/mobile/ Quotes are delayed 10 minutes, but I fail to see why you would need real time quotes while on the bus? I know that IB has a mobile application for TWS that would allow you to manage trades using real time quotes.
I like to trade in the morning at school (8-11 est). btw, trade interceptor has great FX charting if you follow currencies, I like fxtrade mobile from oanda for execution.
Thinkorswim mobile has realtime charts, just remember quotes are delayed. Interactive Brokers is a good app. Prorealtime.com has a decent mobile app.
I use iBroker http://ibroker.com/ as an emergency backup. Yes the quotes are real time. I'm surprised more brokers aren't using something like this.
ib has both web and smartphone app so if you are using ib then that should help with you keeping track of your portfolio.
CQG has a mobile app, I know some ppl that use that....I think its free if you use the CQG trader/client
