You do realize that was the vernacular of the times for children when a pet overstayed its welcome for whatever reason. Lets all hope Fido truly made it to "the farm".
I do, which is why I used to reply to the conjecture that the reason folks give up their ET journals is because they have become profitable traders.
I haven't given much thought to why I stopped posting to my journal until now. For me I guess it was a mix between finally making profits and changing my focus to the mental side of things. After receiving some amazing advice from a member here I switched from journalling just trades and entries (which I still do of course) to the real focus being on my mental journal. There's no point in sharing that as far as I'm concerned. Every trader has their own journey to profitability, once I started making profits I became less interested in seeking others opinions first and became more self reliant.
I'm a strong believer in trade journals and if a public trade journal ends...the trade journal should then continue in private to allow that self reliance. If there's nothing documented...there's no reflection and nothing to help the trader to improve in their trade performance especially when market conditions change. Markets do in fact change...sometimes suddenly. wrbtrader
I’ve started a few. I’ve dropped them abruptly. I do it because I’m still refining my strategy and when I come across a new topic I sit on liquidity and study in the meantime.
