Think about what it would be like to sell insurance for a living. That should help.

 

If your trading is sufficiently* profitable, but it bores you, you can consider encapsulating your trading approach as a 100% mechanical trading system, i.e., a computer program. Then you can have someone robo-trade it for you (Tradestation Securities, Fidelity/Wealth-Lab for stocks, Wisdom Financial for futures or forex, etc). You get the profits but not the boredom.

*sufficiently in YOUR opinion, of course. Some people would be wildly enthusiastic about net profits of +15% per year, others would be disgusted.
