i find scalping better in middle of day between 10:30 and 3:00. The first and last hour seem either to trend more or be very choppy. Harder to scalp in that environment
I guess this depends on scalping style; I prefer the fast action. I find that this involves much more simplistic moves where one can clearly see when prices are turning with simple stalling and stop-outs being very evident.
I will watch a L2 all day but I find i make most of my money during the first hour and a half and the last hour... it's always different every day... mnx
I scalp the e-mini Futures. If the market is moving fast....I scalp up to four contracts at a time....and if it is slow....maybe one contract....if at all. Also....I scalp on Tick Charts only. Volume charts are also great for scalping. I once used minute type charts....but haven't done so in a few years. ES....scalp using 20 to 80 tick chart YM and ER....scalp using 5 to 20 tick chart NQ....scalp using 10 to 50 tick chart EMD....scalp using 5 to 10 tick chart I also Scalp and Trend on higher Tick Charts.
