I'd have to see MM's statement for context. The way I read MM's statement is "don't look down at or mock the losers", not "don't look down at or mock the insurrectionists" Again, I only have the author's interpretation of the context, not MM's statement I see the insurrectionists and loser Trumpers in different light. Tough ask given the support of the insurrectionist by the losers but some took actions and the others just remained butt hurt. It's the butthurt I see in similar light as those who remained in denial to Hillary losing.
He clearly said he fucked up saying giving Trump a chance in 2016. If MM runs,I hope Abbott beats him.I hope Hollywood disses him like he dissed them.He hasn't had in major roles in awhile now so they may have.
No it's not. Fake news in its original intent is precisely that. Trump flipped it on its head to attack the press. I routinely use it as originally intended. Hell, it may have been a Hillary term if I remember. https://www.wired.com/2017/02/internet-made-fake-news-thing-made-nothing/ I'd rather not punish Texans with another Abbot term just to please Hollywood.
Just looked it up.The last leading movie role he had that made a 100 million was Interstellar in 2014.Like many washed up Hollywood types that cant get work it seems now he wants to go into republican politics.
I posted video above, to me it just seem as a joke to land w/the audience but Dave was certainly free to have changed his mind at that point. He expands on Colbert's interview to some degree roughly around the same time (7-8 months after).
or he made 100 million in 2014 and like many actors is enjoying his millions and only dabbles in projects he truly wants/cares about?
MM has never made 100 million in a year.Never been on the highest paid actor list.Last 6 years only has gotten low paying low budget roles which would explain why he wants to get into politics now. You may like him,but I have zero tolerance for Trump supporters like MM.
20 million, 30 million, that's living life lavishly territory. yeah, I like the dude, I just don't see how he's a Trump supporters based on similar centrist statements other celebrities have made hoping to retain audiences from both sides or hoping for unity. I may be wrong, he could have terrible Reaganesque politics, I'd still take him over Abbott right now.
Not in that world.Johnny Depp,Robert Deniro and others who have made more than him are struggling financially. I don't think his political career will take off.Hes not far right crazy enough to beat the likes of Wheels Abbott and Democrats like myself who know he is really a Trump supporter will never vote for him.
I think that's the game to clinch Texas unfortunately, democrats like myself who don't really see him as a Trumper will vote him in over Abbott in a heartbeat and polls seem to be backing that up. Even Beto tried to play the centrist and lost to one of the most disliked politicians in America. We'll see how far right he goes if he decides to throw his hat in. I reserve the right to change my mind on the guy just like Dave did. I don't like the both sides approach either, Elon Musk has been way more of a Trumper w/o explicitly expressing support for Trump for instance and I dislike him for it as his hedge is financial whereas MM's seems political.
